At the 77th session of the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights, a number of Sudanese civil society members participated in a solidarity stand with the Sudanese people suffering from the ravages of the April 15 war. They were joined by African civil society participants, raising slogans demanding the warring parties in Sudan to cease the conflict and open safe humanitarian corridors for aid. They also called on the African Union and the African Commission to exert serious pressure on the Sudanese parties to end the war and establish a democratic civilian transition.
