Where We Work

Darfur, a region in western Sudan, has been plagued by conflict and socioeconomic challenges for decades. On April 15, 2023, fighting erupted between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), intensifying the already dire situation. Civilians have borne the brunt of the violence, with thousands killed and many more displaced. The conflict has severely damaged infrastructure, disrupting healthcare, education, and essential services. Food and water shortages are widespread, and the economic situation has deteriorated with rampant inflation and job losses. The April 2023 war has left Darfur devastated, requiring urgent international assistance.
