Dear followers of Darfur Cinema Center, wherever you are, we hope you’re doing well amidst the tough times Sudan is going through due to the conflict that began on April 15.
After this war started, certain groups spread a lot of hate speech. The main goal was to get more civilians involved in the conflict and increase divisions among Sudanese, breaking down trust, unity, and love among them to make them easy targets for use in the ongoing battles.
This war has not only destroyed cities and economic structures but has also torn apart the social fabric, pushing Sudanese society years backward. Tribal and regional affiliations have become more dominant, putting the unity of the Sudanese people at risk.
“We Are All One” is a media campaign we’re launching to join hands with other Sudanese who are committed to uniting this great nation. Our goal is to reduce the psychological and social impacts of this war. The campaign will focus on the humanitarian situation directly resulting from the hate speech that fueled this war, leading to the destruction of healthcare facilities, public, private properties, and it led to the displacement of millions of Sudanese, making them internally displaced and refugees in neighboring countries.
